About us

Tiny Tots Day Nursery provides high-quality care and education for children aged 0–5 years, alongside a holiday club for children up to 8 years.

Our vision is to create a nurturing, home-from-home environment where every child and staff member feels safe, respected and valued. Guided by our CALM Approach and inspired by the Curiosity Approach, we provide rich, child-led learning experiences using open-ended resources, natural materials and thoughtfully designed environments. By following children's interests and celebrating their individuality, we nurture confidence, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.

  Our CALM Approach

Curious     Attuned     Love     Meaningful Moments

At Tiny Tots Day Nursery, our CALM Approach is at the heart of everything we do - from our relationships with families, children and colleagues to our curriculum and teaching.

It reflects our commitment to creating a nurturing, home-from-home environment where children and staff feel safe, valued and inspired to learn.

We believe that when we are Curious, we inspire children to explore, question and develop a lifelong love of learning. By being Attuned, we build warm, responsive relationships, taking the time to understand each child's unique needs, interests and emotions. We bring Love into everything we do – a love for our profession, for learning, and for helping every child feel valued, respected and capable. Together, these values create Meaningful Moments: the everyday interactions, conversations and experiences that have the greatest impact on children's wellbeing, confidence and development.

It is these moments that make childhood special and provide the foundations for a lifetime of learning. Through our CALM Approach, we slow the pace, follow children's interests and create thoughtful learning experiences that help every child flourish in their own unique way.

Staff training and development

Staff development is just as important to us as the children's development is. Our team are actively encouraged to undertake further training in order to develop their own skills, and developing a love for learning.

We are proud of our passionate and inspired team who are empowered to bring their own knowledge, ideas, and creativity into the setting. With strong support and continuous opportunities for growth, our team plays a vital role in shaping a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.

Here are just some of the training courses/accreditations we have undertaken or are currently involved in, which are effectively supporting our practice each and every day...

We have a strong SEND team with extensive training, and several other members of the team have undertaken training in working with SEND children, supporting communication or physical development and much more.

Every practitioner and lunch cover holds a first aid qualification, and we train up any new staff members within their first 3 months with us if they don't have a first aid qualification when they join the team.

Parent Partnership
Parental engagement is hugely important to us as we recognise that you know your child best. We therefore encourage you to be involved with their learning as much as possible.

Here are just some of the ways we involve parents here at Tiny Tots...

- Sharing your child's learning/experiences at nursery and at home on our online learning journal (Tapestry)
- Parent's meeting offered 3 times per year
- Providing you with ideas on how you can support your child's learning at home
- Home learning library
- Stay and play sessions

Our effective key person systems means that you will always have a specific member of staff that you know you can talk to about your child's needs. This person gets to know your child and your family from as soon as they start until the progress into the next room and gain a new key person.
